Elements and Principles of Art

 

In this art activity we found pictures that represent the elements and principles of art. We were put into groups and gave a definition for each element and principle. It had to represent the grade level we were given. You needed to have at least 12 pictures of your own. We put ours in a google slides presentation.

Extension Activity: This activity would be geared towards kindergarten. I would be focusing on the color wheel for this activity. I would talk to my students about the color wheel and what colors you blend together to create other colors. After that I would have the students go outside and find each color on the color wheel. I would walk over and take a picture of what they found. Then I would print out each image and create a huge color wheel for the classroom with the picture I took. This shows the students that the colors on the color wheel are everywhere around them.
